Building on the knowledge of business law acquired in the Bachelor's degree programme, the Master's degree programme in Business Law offers you an advanced qualification at the interface of law and business, which in particular includes conceptual, advisory and problem-solving skills at a high level, planning, strategic and creative skills as well as leadership and management skills.
These will qualify you for responsible tasks in business and administration in the profile field of ‘Labour Law and Human Resources’ or ‘Tax and Finance’.

Structure and content of the degree programme

The programme concludes with a Master's degree (LL.M.). This qualifies you to work in the higher civil service of public administration and entitles you to study for a doctorate. You will study under excellent conditions on a modern campus and benefit from our many years of experience in an independent department.
The part-time study option offers a standard period of study that is three semesters longer than the full-time programme. It is therefore an alternative for all those who wish to study alongside their job or caring responsibilities (see programme flyer for a different course).
Full-time (4 semesters), part-time (7 semesters), cooperative (6 semesters)

1st and 2nd semesters: specialisation and profiling

In the first two semesters, students deepen and expand their knowledge of business law. In addition, courses are held to further develop key methodological skills and key qualifications.
By choosing one of the two profile areas ‘Labour Law and Human Resources’ or ‘Taxation and Finance’, students can also expand their subject-specific knowledge according to their individual interests and professional qualification goals.

3rd semester: Practical relevance (project & learning)

The third semester focuses on project-based, practice-orientated learning. In a practical project, students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a project team.

4th semester: Master's thesis

In addition to the practical relevance, the academic nature of the programme is also a defining feature, which is particularly evident in seminars and the Master's thesis, which is completed in the fourth semester.
