Master's of Management
The four-semester Master's programme in Management at the Bocholt campus deepens and broadens students' knowledge of business administration, management theories and practices. The focus is on advanced management techniques and strategies that are specifically applied to successfully overcome complex operational challenges.
The programme allows students to specialise in areas such as corporate management, strategic management, financial management, marketing management and information management. In addition, individually selectable modules offer the opportunity to sharpen one's personal study profile and prepare specifically for career entry. The Master's degree opens up a wide range of career opportunities in positions of responsibility in business and administration.
The master's programme is aimed at graduates of economics programmes such as business administration, economics, (international) management, international business and communication, taxation and auditing, business informatics, industrial engineering or even business psychology who want to use the master's programme to further their academic qualifications and gain a professional start in their career.
Structure and content
First semester – Fundamentals of leadership and value creation
- Leadership: Development of leadership skills through advanced theories and practical approaches to leadership styles, team management and personnel development.
- Value-Based Management & Controlling: In-depth study of value management and company valuation for the purpose of guiding business decisions.
- Strategic Process Management: Analysis and optimisation of business processes using modern technologies such as AI and process modelling.
- International Economic Relations: Understanding global markets and economic policy differences for international business strategies.
Second semester – Strategic orientation and sustainability
- Sustainable corporate governance: Focus on sustainable and responsible corporate management, CSR and ethical business practices.
- Marketing management: Development and implementation of strategic marketing plans to increase competitiveness.
- Information management: Efficient use of data and IT resources to support informed management decisions.
Third semester – Entrepreneurship and specialised skills
- Entrepreneurship: From business idea to implementation – practical preparation for starting a business and start-up management.
- Corporate finance: In-depth study of financial strategies, risk management and capital market topics.
- Business Intelligence: Use of data analysis and BI tools for strategic business decisions.
- Project in collaboration with industry.
Fourth semester – Master's thesis
The programme concludes with a 24-week Master's thesis, which allows students to independently explore a practical or research-oriented topic.
