Bachelor´s of Technical Facility Management

This study program enables students to operate real estate and manage secondary processes. With this holistic claim and under the guideline “interface management” our students are able to identify, analyze and solve complex problems around real estates. A broad scientific-technical and commercial knowledge provides the basis to create new competencies within new problem fields.

Structure of the Study Program

The study program is offered in the following variants:

  • undergraduate course (6 semesters)
  • individual entry (7 semesters)
  • training-integrated study (8 semesters)
  • part-time study (8 semesters

Study focus

The focus of this study program is clearly on engineering subjects. In the first semesters, the technical, scientific and business fundamentals are taught, such as mathematics, physics, building construction, building materials science, as well as applied computer science, project management and business administration. From the third semester onwards, the focus is more on application-oriented economic and technical modules. The mix of theoretical and practice oriented knowledge insures a high problem solving ability. The students are able to use different methods and tools for structuring, analysing and solving problems. The training in soft skills enables the students to manage social problems and to develop and defend adequate strategies of action.

In the 7-semester study option, additional flex modules are offered in the first four semesters to assist in areas of low prior knowledge and lack of experience. The special feature of the training-integrated study variant is the interlocking of a vocational training ("apprenticeship") with our study program. Training companies cooperate with our University of Applied Sciences and grant freedom for a studies during and after the apprenticeship.
