Structure and content of the programme

The Bachelor's programme in Business Administration at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Bocholt is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a sound education in business administration. The programme is offered as a full-time programme lasting six semesters or as a dual programme lasting eight semesters. 
 

The business administration programme at our university is characterised by its versatility and practical relevance. It consists of two three-semester study phases. In the first phase, you will learn the fundamentals of economics, such as business administration and economics, accounting, business law, business English and business mathematics. In the second phase, you will delve deeper into management topics and specialise in one of two areas: marketing or accounting and controlling. Thanks to the specialisations and the wide range of elective modules, you can tailor your course of study to your individual needs and pursue your personal interests and career goals.

International and practice-oriented:
In the fifth semester, you can spend a semester abroad at one of our partner universities. In the sixth semester, you will gain practical experience in a 14-week internship and complete your studies with a 10-week bachelor's thesis.

The dual version of the Business Administration programme combines theoretical and practical elements through practical and project modules in order to optimally prepare students for everyday working life. These modules are carried out in close cooperation with partner companies, with the companies and the university entering into a cooperation agreement.

In the first two practical modules, students gain insights into operational structures and learn to develop practical solutions for company-specific tasks. Later in the programme, students work on complex, company-specific tasks in practical projects.
