Application Information for Exchange Students

You are intersted in realizing an exchange at Westfälische Hochschule under the terms of an mutual agreement (between your home-university and us) for one or two semesters and want to inform yourself best?

Nomination Deadline for Exchange Students

We require an official written nomination by email from your home-university until 

May 15th for the upcoming fall semester
Nov 15th for the upcoming spring semester

Application Deadline for Exchange Students

All required application documents have to be submitted by email until 

June 10th for the upcoming fall semester  
December 10th for the upcoming spring semester  

 

Application Requirements 

To successfully realize your exchange at our university, you should possess good English/German language skills in order to follow the lectures.That is why we ask you to proof: 

  • advanced English language skills (B2)
    for study courses taught in English
     
  • advanced German language skills (B2)
    for study courses taught in German
     
  • advanced English/German language skills (B2/B2)
    to follow your own individual research project with a supervisor of Westfälische Hochschule 
     

Application Procedure  

The first step is to apply at your home-university. Your home university may request additional qualification for the exchange places. Once you have been nominated by your home-university, you can start our application process with us. 

Please submit the following documents via e-mail  no later than the application deadline: 

  1. Application form for exchange students (includes accomodation form)
  2. Copy of passport
  3. Current transcript of records
  4. Learning Agreement/Training Agreement for the exchange with Erasmus or without Erasmus signed by your home university 
    *Please only select courses belonging to one study program for your exchange semester. A combination of courses belonging to different study programs in not possible.
  5. German/English language certificate / official document issued by your home university proving your English language skills
  6. Erasmus students only: copy of your EU health insurance card + a confirmation about your Erasmus student status 

As soon as you submitted all required documents, we get in contact with the coordinator of your selected study program.
