Bocholt

Bocholt is a town with approximately 75,000 inhabitants and is situated in the district of Borken near the Dutch border.

Bocholt is a very green town; over eighty percent of the town is made up of agricultural and forest lands and areas of water.
Despite its green setting, Bocholt is also home to large electrical and machine construction companies.

The industrial park houses 150 businesses with over 5000 employees and is representative of the town’s economic strength.

Bocholt hosts an annual on-line skating event called “Two Countries – One Tour” wherein participants skate a 28-kilometre round tour to The Netherlands and back.
For those who are less energetic however, there is a pub scene, a go-cart track, a bowling centre or museums to enjoy.

Plus, every year on 30 April, the “Bands in Town” event takes place and there is live music in more than 15 pubs in the town centre.

The district of Borken in the west Münsterland has approximately 360,000 inhabitants.
Economically it is one of the most expansionary regions in North Rhine Westphalia.

The countryside is typical of the Münsterland, namely forest, pasture land, meadows and fields. In the midst of all this lie 17 towns and communities offering numerous sights worth visiting. The 108-kilometre German-Dutch border is not a problem – just the opposite.
Good traffic links mean that the big Dutch cities are just as easy to reach as the economic centres of the Rhineland and Ruhr.
